Boy, 5, fighting for his life after quad bike he was riding smashed into metal barrier

A five-year-old boy is fighting for his life after a quad bike he was riding smashed into a metal barrier.

The accident happened in Corby, Northants last night and the boy was rushed in a critical condition to hospital.

The boy was on the back of the quad bike, which was being ridden by an 18-year-old in Occupation Road, at twenty five to eight in the evening.

It crashed into a metal barrier, causing the five-year-old boy life-threatening head injuries.

He is currently in a critical condition at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
