A 16-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a car crash last night (November 27).
The youngster was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved, a Toyota Avensis.
He had to be cut free from the wreckage by firefighters following the incident on Parkhills Road, Bury.
Police said the driver fled the scene.

The Toyota had hit a parked car.
Emergency services were called to Parkhills Road in Bury just before 9.30pm on Saturday night.
Police said the teenager, who hasn't been named, remained in a 'serious condition' in hospital today, but his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
GMP said enquiries were continuing and confirmed the driver 'did not remain at the scene'.
Bury council bosses said in the aftermath there were 'concerns locally' around the manner of driving on the road and the issue would be taken up by councillors.
The force is now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
In a statement, GMP said: "A teenager remains in a serious condition in hospital after a road traffic collision in Bury.
"Officers were called to Parkhills Road, Bury, just before 9.30pm last night to reports of a two-vehicle collision.
"The 16-year male passenger was reported to be trapped in the Toyota Avensis following a collision with a stationary vehicle.
"NWAS and GMFRS also attended and he was taken to hospital where he remains with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
"The driver did not remain at the scene.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "The collision involved two vehicles.
"Firefighters used specialist equipment to extricate a man from one of the vehicles before his care was transferred to colleagues from NWAS and he was taken to hospital.
"Fire crews were in attendance for around an hour."
Writing on Facebook councillor Tamoor Tariq, who represents the Redvales ward and is the deputy leader of Bury council, said a council team would be cleaning up the aftermath.
He said: "I know everyone's thoughts and prayers will be with the passenger who was taken out of the vehicle by the fire service.
"I understand the person's condition is serious. I'm sure we will all be wishing them a speedy recovery.
"It will take sometime to establish what happened here, but nonetheless we understand the level of concern there is locally about the risk some drivers pose on Parkhills Road. This is an issue we will be taking up as Redvales councillors."
