A large police presence and bomb disposal unit have been in attendance at an incident in Lanarkshire.
Cops were called to a report of ordnance found in the water at Dalmarnock bridge in Rutherglen.
A police cordon and diversions were put in place to let experts examine the area.
It is understood an explosive device may have been recovered in the water where the River Clyde runs through the town.

A spokeswoman from the force told Lanarkshire Live : "Around 12.40pm on Wednesday, officers were called to a report of ordnance found in the water at Dalmarnock bridge on Dalmarnock Road.
"Officers are at the scene and EOD are attending."
South Lanarkshire Council have also advised road diversions are currently in place with some of the area closed.
They tweeted: "Dalmarnock Road, Rutherglen closed at Dalmarnock Bridge. Diversion via Downiebrae Rd, Cambuslang Rd, Farmeloan Rd, Main St, Glasgow Rd"
