Police have cordoned off an area of a Blantyre street today, following a serious assault on a 33-year-old man.
Locals reported officers in attendance at Springwell Crescent, near to Auchinraith Crescent and Parkville Drive, since 10.30am this morning.
The injured man was taken to University Hospital Hairmyres where he has been treated for his injuries.
Police enquiries are continuing.
A Police spokesperson told Lanarkshire Live: "Around 10.30am on Monday, June 14, 2021, officers were called to Springwell Crescent, Blantyre following a report of a 33-year-old man having been seriously assaulted. He attended at Hairmyres Hospital for treatment.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
