“Hello, people! My name is Olya Chick, and I’m a video content creator originally from Siberia, Russia. I moved to the United States to pursue my dream of making comedy videos and films. It was a bold decision, but I’ve always loved challenges—and making it big in the U.S. definitely feels like one!”
Olya’s journey in social media began nearly seven years ago. What started as a fun hobby quickly turned into a full-fledged career as her comedic sketches and pranks gained traction. In Russia, she built a strong following, reaching 210,000 followers on Instagram. After moving to the U.S., she launched her TikTok, which now has about 500,000 followers, accumulating over 80 million views across platforms.
But social media success is never easy—anywhere. “It’s tough in Russia, in the U.S., in any country. The key is consistency and making videos that spark engagement, whether that’s through comments, debates, shares, or people sending them to their friends. And, of course, making sure people watch until the end.”
Comedy, however, is something Olya never questioned. She sees it as a tool to bring lightness to life’s challenges. “Life is complicated enough—comedy makes it lighter. Humor helps us get through difficult times. It reminds us that, even with all the struggles, there’s still so much to enjoy and laugh about.”
From watching her favorite creators in Siberia to working alongside them in the U.S., Olya’s journey has been nothing short of surreal. “When I was in Russia, I used to watch Zach King’s videos—he has over 30 million subscribers on YouTube—and never imagined I’d one day work with him. But I did. I worked on his set, and it was mind-blowing. I also got to be in a video with MrBeast, the biggest YouTuber in the world. For someone like me, coming from a small city in Siberia, meeting these creators felt like an impossible dream come true.”
Right now, she’s focused on creating social media content, collaborating with other YouTubers, and growing her online presence. But her ultimate goal is to break into filmmaking. “One day, I’ll start producing films—short films first! Once I build a solid portfolio, I’ll start looking for funding for a feature-length film. I’m not trying to take over the world—I just want to be happy, tell good stories, and create something that brings joy to others.”
With unwavering determination, Olya is pushing forward. “I believe in persistence, and I know my hard work will pay off. One day, I’ll look back on this journey with a smile, knowing it was all worth it.”
