BAFTAs 2023: Alison Hammond, Kate Middleton and Florence Pugh lead the glam on star-studded red carpet

The BAFTA Awards is one of the biggest nights in the film awards season, which culminates with the Oscars in March.

Netflix's All Quiet On The Western Front leads the nominations with 14 while The Banshees of Inisherin and Everything Everywhere All At Once have 10 nominations each. Elvis follows closely behind with nine nominations.

The ceremony, hosted by Richard E Grant airs on BBC One at 7pm and takes place at London's Royal Festival Hall.

Stars have already began taking to the red carpet ahead of the glittering ceremony this evening. Here, we take a look at the stars in their glad rags for the glamorous event...

The Prince and Princess of Wales walked the red carpet on Sunday evening.

Kate Middleton stunned in a white floor-length Alexander McQueen dress, which she has worn previously, with black gloves, matching black bag and gold earrings.

The Princess of Wales finished off the look with statement earrings while Prince William, who has been the president of the BAFTAs since 2010, wore a black tuxedo jacket and bow tie with a white shirt underneath.

Alison Hammond will be hosting from behind-the-scenes at this year's prestigious awards.

The presenter stunned in a black sparking dress with statement earrings.

On the opportunity, the This Morning presenter said: "I'm so excited to be hosting at this year's EE Bafta Film Awards with THE Richard E Grant.

"We're going to have a lot of fun bringing the glitz and glam of backstage to everyone watching at home around the world.

"From hanging out with the stars to celebrating the biggest night for cinema, and joining the discussions with film fans, get ready for good vibes only," Alison added.

Leading Actress nominee Viola Davis, for her role in The Woman King, was dressed to impress in a dazzling purple floor-length dress with a cape built into the gown. She paired the look with beautiful matching eye shadow.

Florence Pugh stunned in a show-stopping orange off-the-shoulder dress with large ruffles as she showed-off her new fringe.

Paul Mescal in Aftersun, Austlin Butler in Elvis and Brendan Fraser in The Whale join The Banshees of Inisherin star Colin Farrell in the Leading Actor category.

Daryl McCormack in Good Luck to You, Leo Grande and Billy Nighly in Living are also nominated.

Colin Farrell and Paul Mescal were among the stars wearing a blue ribbon to show their support for refugees and displaced people around the world.

Both Paul and Austin were dressed very smartly for the red carpet in black tuxedos.

Emma Thompson, who is nominated for Leading Actress for Good Luck to You, Leo Grande, was dressed in all white with chunky-sole trainers and a white coat to finish off the look.

Pam and Tommy star Lily James looked delightful in a white dress with embellished plunging detailing on the front.

The star's new film, What's Love Got To Do With It? is set for release next week.

The Banshees of Inisherin stars Brendan Gleeson, Kerry Condon and Colin Farrell were also in attendance.

Colin is nominated for Leading Actor while Kerry is up for Supporting Actress and Brendan Gleeson is nominated for Supporting Actor.

Barry Keoghan, who also starred in the film, is nominated in the Supporting Actor category.

Alex Scott wore a stunning black corseted dress with a sheer skirt.

Ellie Goulding put on a flawless display as she attended the BAFTAs on Sunday in a sheer grey dress with a plunging neckline and sleeves.

She accessorised her look with a dazzling silver necklace in the shape of a snake and sported a collection of coordinating earrings.

Squid Game actress HoYeon Jung stunned in a strapless gown with a statement necklace and a red lip.

Bridgerton's Rege-Jean Page looked very dapper on the BAFTAs red carpet after suffering an awkward stumble outside the star-studded Charles Finch x Chanel pre-BAFTA dinner in Lonndon on Saturday.

The actor is rumoured to be in the running for James Bond along with others including with Theo James, Paul Mescal, Andrew Garfield, Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

Geri Horner walked the red carpet with her husband Christian Horner while wearing a white floor-length gown which she paired with a statement necklace.

Brendan Fraser walked the red carpet with his girlfriend Jeanne Moore.

The actor wore a black suit with a matching bow tie while the makeup artist and hair stylist wore a plunging black gown with ruffles.

Sophie Turner arrived at the BAFTAs without her musician husband Joe Jonas and looked gorgeous in a black lace gown with embellishments.

The Game of Thrones star, who welcomed her second child last year, sported 60s style hair and make-up.

Irish actress Nicola Coughlan looked amazing in a long-sleeve white gown with a floral pattern.

Loose Women panellist and The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge was one of the first stars to arrive at the Royal Festival Hall.

She wore a white long-sleeved, floor-length gown and paired the look with gold statement earrings, bracelets and rings.

Cynthia Erivo opted for a sci-fi look with an asymmetric shoulder and metallic copper finish dress.

Jamie Lee Curtis, who is nominated for best Supporting Actress for her role in Everything Everywhere All At Once, was wearing a black blazer and cream silk skirt.

On why she's opted to wear a blue ribbon, she said: “My friend Cate Blanchett is asking people to remind us all in the midst of all the season of shiny things that of course there are terrible refugee crises going on all over the world everywhere all at once and we need to do our part.”

BAFTAs host Richard E Grant wore a white tuxedo jacket, pairing his look with a white shirt, white bow tie and black trousers.

Speaking about his hosting duties, Richard said: "I feel hugely privileged to be hosting the EE BAFTAs for the first time and the opportunity to celebrate the very best of the extraordinary range of this year’s films.”

Radio DJ Vick Hope dressed in a semi-sheer cobalt blue fitted dress paired with a diamond necklace as she walked the red carpet ahead of the ceremony at the Royal Festival Hall in London.

Strictly Come Dancing star Vick will also be hosting the red carpet show with film critic Ali Plumb.
