Arsenal sign Dani Ceballos on season-long loan deal from Real Madrid

Dani Ceballos is an Arsenal player.

The Spanish midfielder joins on a season-long loan deal from La Liga giants Real Madrid and will increase Unai Emery's options in the middle of the park which already includes Granit Xhaka, Lucas Torreira, Matteo Guendouzi and Joe Willock.

It's understood that Ceballos' wages, believed to be around £60,000-a-week will be paid in its entirety by the north London outfit.

There is not a purchase option in the agreement between the two clubs, but that hasn't stopped Emery from making plans for the new season with Ceballos heavily involved.

Ceballos will wear the number eight shirt at Arsenal, vacated by Aaron Ramsey.

And upon joining, he told the club's official website: "I’ve not spoken to my team-mates yet so we’re not sure of what the objective is, but obviously I’m coming here to give everything I have.

"Nobody will be able to question that because from the very first day I pull this jersey on I’ll give everything I’ve got. We’ll try to achieve the club’s objectives."

"I’m really proud to be able to wear this shirt. I’m joining an historic Premier League side and it’s a step forward in my career.

"I knew I had the confidence of the coach, which was very important for me from the start. I was aware of the responsibility that wearing this shirt entails and it was a tremendously proud moment when I decided to join Arsenal."
