Laurent Koscielny's Arsenal future is in doubt as he's refused to travel with the squad for their pre-season tour to the United States.
Unai Emery's squad will fly to Los Angeles today to begin an American tour that will also see them play games in Denver, Charlotte and Washington.
But the Spaniard will be without the club captain.
A statement issued by Arsenal reads:
"We are very disappointed by Laurent’s actions, which are against our clear instructions.
"We hope to resolve this matter and will not be providing any further comment at this time."
This surprise comes at a time where Koscielny has been linked with a move away from the north London outfit.
Football.london understands he has told the club that he wants to be released from his contract and seal a move back to France before the summer transfer window closes.
But with Emery hoping to sign a central defender before deadline day, Koscielny's news couldn't come at a more worse time as the Spanish tactician could now need two new players in that position.

As revealed by football.london last month, Arsenal were awaiting a decision from Koscielny over whether he wanted to see out the final year of his contract amid links to Lyon, Bordeaux, Rennes, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan.
Well it seems his mind is made up.
Arsenal have been linked with a long-term replacement for Koscielny in William Saliba from Ligue 1 outfit Saint Etienne.
However, the 18-year-old can certainly be viewed as a long-term investment as there's strong rumours that he will be loaned back out to the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard for the upcoming season.
