Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Willian on a free transfer after the expiration of his Chelsea contract this summer.
The Brazilian has joined the Gunners on a three-year deal which is expected to be worth around £100,00-a-week.
Having spent the past seven years at Chelsea, the 32-year-old lifted the Premier League twice as well as the FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League and his experience was a key factor in Arsenal's decision to sign him.
As for Willian, he admitted that discussion with head coach, Mikel Arteta, as well as the general style of Arsenal's play, had a pivotal role in him choosing to move to north London.
"[I like] the way they play, everything is amazing - the stadium, and I think that with Arteta, Arsenal have a great opportunity to fight again for titles in the Premier League and in Europe so I'm very happy because of that," Willian told Arenal Digital.
"I'm excited to start. I can't wait to go on the pitch and do my thing to help my team-mates and to help this club to shine again. That's what I want.
"When I talked to [Mikel], the conversation was good, he gave me confidence to come to Arsenal. He said a lot of good things to me and that's why I have come to Arsenal."
Able play on both wings and through the middle, Willian's versatility has also been outlined as one of the key benefits that he will bring to Arteta's side.
This is something he attested to after signing for the club, even if he isn't quite sure what his fixed position on the pitch will be just yet.
"I don't know! I leave that to Arteta [what position he plays]. I come to help in every position," he added.
"I can play on the right, I can play in the middle, I can play on the left side as well. So I want to help - in any position where they put me to play, I will try to do my best."
