Arsenal have completed the signing of Kieran Tierney from Celtic.
Confirmation of this deal - worth a reported £25m - has come via the club's official website as well as social media channels, thus making the Scotland international the fifth signing of the summer transfer window.
The Gunners had two bids for Tierney rejected by the Hoops but finally reached an agreement last night.
He joins Gabriel Martinelli, William Saliba, Dani Ceballos and Nicolas Pepe as the new faces at the north London outfit since the end of last season.
It's understood that Tierney has signed a five-year deal at the Emirates Stadium and will challenge Nacho Monreal as well as Sead Kolasinac for the left-back spot under Unai Emery.
Ahead of this transfer, John Hartson revealed what Arsenal fans can expect from Tierney with a classy description of the Scotland international.
"Arsenal are getting a fine player, a wonderfully grounded boy, been brought up in humble surroundings, I can only wish Kieran Tierney a great career," Hartson tweeted.
"Been brilliant for Celtic. Good luck mate."
Tierney didn't feature for Celtic during pre-season or in any of their Champions League qualifiers due to injury, so it's possible that he doesn't play against Newcastle United on Sunday.
Although, it shouldn't be too long before he's fully fit.
"He'll be fit in a week or two," Neil Lennon said, amid claims Tierney was facing up to two months on the sidelines.
"He still has some adductor pain, but I think the pubic problem is starting to settle and he’s over the double hernia."
