Amir Khan reveals date and venue for Manny Pacquiao fight

Amir Khan insists both he and Manny Pacquiao have signed to fight in Saudi Arabia on November 8.

Khan stopped Billy Dib in the fourth round of their somewhat farcical welterweight clash in Jeddah last Friday.

Before the fight, the Brit had claimed he had agreed terms to face former sparring partner Pacquiao later this year.

And speaking at a press conference in Bolton on Tuesday, Khan reaffirmed his belief.

Pacquiao must first take on Keith Thurman in Las Vegas on Saturday when the pair clash for the Filipino's world title.

But Khan claims the ring legend has then agreed to face him in the Saudi capital of Riyadh.

After beating Dib, Khan said: "We want the Manny Pacquiao fight, let's hope he comes to Saudi Arabia.

"Hopefully we come back again at the end of the year and bring Manny Pacquiao here.

"I felt very comfortable in there. Obviously having a new trainer, Bones Adams.

"We had to work on a strategy, I slowed myself down a little bit instead of rushing all the time.

"I was seeing everything, making sure I was putting in the right shots, I felt very comfortable in there."

Pacquiao has yet to comment on the proposed fight, instead focusing on his clash with Thurman, but did say his political career will allow him another fight this year.

He said: "Yes, there is a scheduled recess, but we will figure it out when the session starts."

And on the prospect of knocking out Thurman, Pacquiao added: "Knockouts will come but I'm not saying that I'm going to have a prediction with this fight. I don't want to be careless in the fight.

"But if that chance is given to me, why not? I have to grab that possibility to knock him out."
