An air ambulance landed in Heywood this afternoon after a crash shut a major road.
A section of Heywood Old Road in Bowlee was closed for roughly one hour from 12 noon.
It followed a collion 'between a cyclist and a pedestrian’, Greater Manchester told the M.E.N.

"At around 11.10am on Sunday 2 January 2022, police were called to reports of a collision on Heywood Old Road, Rochdale between a cyclist and a pedestrian", a GMP spokesperson said.
"Emergency services attended. The pedestrian - a 52-year-old woman - was taken to hospital to be treated for facial injuries and a suspected broken wrist.
"The cyclist - a 58-year-old man - has been taken to hospital with a hip injury.
"Both remain in a stable condition.
"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing."
The road was closed for around an hour from just before 12pm, TfGM said.
The organisation, which manages the city-region’s transport network, tweeted at 11:57am: “Road closed.
“A6045 Heywood Old Road is closed between Blueball Lane and Ellis Lane.
“This is due to a police incident.”
Traffic reporting service Inrix added the incident was an ‘accident’.
Its update at 1.10pm confirmed the incident had cleared: “Traffic returned to normal, earlier accident on A6045 Heywood Old Road in both directions between Blueball Lane and Simon Lane.
“The road reopened around 13:00.”
Earlier in the day, Inrix said the incident caused ‘heavy traffic’.
Pictures show an air ambulance flying nearby, with multiple emergency service vehicles parked on the road.
They include numerous police cars and an ambulance.
