Passengers were pulled out of the burning remains of a small plane that crashed onto a dual carriageway.
Shortly after 11am this morning the light aircraft ploughed into the A40 between Abergaenney and Raglan, hitting overhead power cables as it descended.
As traffic skidded to a halt a plume of smoke billowed into the air, followed by at least two small explosions.
Witnesses reported one brave man rushing to the wreckage and pulled the passengers to safety.
Miraculously the three passengers escaped with non life-threatening injuries.

"The engine didn’t sound too good. Sounded like it was cutting out, glad everyone’s ok."

Kelly Hale said her partner was on the scene and that the plane was still on fire.
She added on Facebook: "He said he's stood next to the person who pulled them all out.
"They're safe and the guy is a hero."

Three fire engines rushed to the scene, according to witnesses on the road.
By midday the cars were being turned around and smoke had stopped billowing into the sky.
The Fire Service requested all trains were stopped in the area due to the plane hitting the overhead power cables.
