Breaking: Bengals WR A.J. Green ruled out 6-8 weeks with ankle injury

Cincinnati Bengals’ star wide out A.J. Green has been ruled out six to eight weeks after suffering an ankle injury in training camp. The former Georgia Bulldog stud is entering a contract year. Adam Schefter first reported the news:

The Bengals have suffered some major injuries to start out their 2019 NFL campaign. The Bengals will look for WR Tyler Boyd to step up in Green’s absence as he did last season. As for A.J. Green, he will look to return sometime in the first four weeks of the NFL season.

With free agency looming, expect Green to come back quickly, but only when he’s one-hundred percent. The Bengals play the San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills, and Pittsburgh Steelers in weeks two through four. Depending on the rehab process, Green will likely target a return sometime in this range.
