
Canberra FM, who run Hit104.7 and Mix106.3, were spared from the 38 redundancies announced across Southern Cross Austereo.
SCA suffered a 18.2 per cent drop in revenue during the 2019-20 financial year, triggering a restructure of the company.
"While SCA are a 50 per cent shareholder in Canberra FM neither of our stations have been directly impacted by today's announcement of redundancies within SCA," a Canberra FM spokesperson said.
The brunt of the job losses across the business will be in local breakfast shows, but Ned and Josh fans can rest assured knowing the duo will keep broadcasting.
"Ned and Josh are unaffected by by today's SCA announcement and will continue broadcasting from Canberra to Canberra," a Canberra FM spokesperson said.
SCA chief content officer Dave Cameron told the ABC that SCA's revenue shortfall was caused by the COVID-19 recession.
"The changes will mean that unfortunately a number of our local breakfast shows will be impacted, and we would like to thank our dedicated and talented people who are affected today by this new approach," he said.
