Break out the sunglasses as warm weather predicted to be finally on its way this Easter Bank Holiday weekend

The start of April certainly felt like Winter was clinging on as some parts of the UK even saw the temperature drop into minus figures.

Following an unwelcome cold spell, it seems a welcome change might be on the way - just in time for the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.

This temperature hike might even call for the t-shirts and sunglasses to come out as the city could hit more than 20C over the weekend.

The Met office has predicted springlike highs for Nottingham of 18C for Good Friday and Saturday.

A high of 17C is predicted for the city on Easter Sunday.

Some weather prediction sites have even suggested that the temperature could hit 22C over the weekend.

All three days are expected to be at its warmest around 4pm.

The sun is expected to come out around 7am on Friday and is expected to shine all day.

On Saturday it is predicted to be its sunniest from 4pm and on Sunday, the sun is expected to shine from 1pm onwards.

They have also predicted a low temperature of 6C or 7C, which last week was about as warm as it got, which will be a great improvement.

There has also been predicted little to no chance of rain either, so the umbrellas, scarves and hats can be packed away, for the time being anyway.
