Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has tested positive for coronavirus.
Mr Bolsonaro confirmed the news in a television interview on Tuesday and said he is beginning treatment, which includes taking both hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin.
Brazil currently has the second-highest number of confirmed cases worldwide with over 1.6 million recorded and over 65,000 deaths from COVID-19.
Mr Bolsonaro, who has repeatedly played down the severity of the virus, received his latest test after reportedly developing symptoms associated with COVID-19, including a fever.
This is the fourth coronavirus test he has taken — the first three had come back negative.
