Brazil vs Norway team news

Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Barcelona winger Raphinha is fit to return for Brazil on Sunday after a hamstring injury, though will not start.

Lucas Paqueta came off at half-time against Japan, and Casemiro was also replaced.

Casemiro, the now former Manchester United midfielder, is available to play here, but Paqueta misses out as he also nurses a hamstring problem.

Brazil squad

Goalkeepers: Alisson Becker, Ederson, Weverton

Defenders: Marquinhos, Gabriel Magalhaes, Gleison Bremer, Leo Pereira, Roger Ibanez, Danilo, Alex Sandro, Douglas Santos

Midfielders: Casemiro, Bruno Guimaraes, Fabinho, Danilo, Lucas Paqueta, Ederson

Forwards: Vinicius Jr, Raphinha, Matheus Cunha, Luiz Henrique, Gabriel Martinelli, Neymar, Endrick, Rayan, Igor Thiago

For the Norwegians, their main concern is Julian Ryerson, the first-choice right-back, who missed the first knockout round with a thigh niggle.

He is back in training before the Brazil game, but remains a doubt.

Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard remain their shining lights, with Antonio Nusa catching the attention of many with his sumptuous finish against Ivory Coast.

Brazil vs Norway prediction

This should be an entertaining encounter, with neither side the most robust defensively while boasting plenty of firepower.

That said, for all the star quality Norway have with Haaland, Odegaard and Co, Ancelotti’s men should have too much for them here.

Brazil to win, 3-1.
