Brazil superstar ordered to stay in camp for treatment ahead of World Cup

Neymar has been ordered to stay at Brazil's training camp and get specialist treatment instead of travelling to their final World Cup warm-up game.

The South American giants face Scotland in their third group match of the tournament in Miami later this month.

They play their last friendly before they kick off against Morocco when they entertain another African side, Egypt, tonight.

Neymar has been sidelined for three weeks with a calf injury amid major doubts he will make the tournament after manager Carlo Ancelotti recalled their all-time top goalscorer.

And he's been ordered to stay in their camp to receive further intensive treatment rather than travel with the squad to Cleveland for the game.

A Brazilian FA statement said: "Neymar will receive physiotherapy treatment and intensification of physical recovery at the team's base."

Ancelotti pledged this week that their talisman will be fit in time for the tournament.

He said: "Neymar will definitely be ready for the group games."
