Brazil legend explains why Trent Alexander-Arnold can become world's best at Liverpool

Brazilian football legend Cafu believes Trent Alexander-Arnold has the potential to become one of the world’s best players.

Alexander-Arnold has blossomed into a world-class right-back since establishing himself as a regular starter for Liverpool.

The 21-year-old continues to put in impressive performances, with his crossing ability pretty much second to none in the Premier League.

The Kirkby Academy graduate registered 12 assists in the top flight last season, and already has the same number in the current campaign with nine league fixtures left to play.

Alexander-Arnold has been likened to Brazil legend Cafu for his revolutionary style at right-back, and the former AC Milan defender feels the Reds youngster has the potential to go far in the game.

“He’s a sensational player, a rare talent,” Cafu told FIFA.com.

He added: “If he keeps playing the way he has been he will be regarded as one of the best players in the world. He has the potential to win [The Best FIFA Men’s Player] award.

“He’s technically brilliant, he has so much quality. He has a Brazilian style of play.

“I love watching him play. And playing in such a great team will help him grow.”
