While not everyone may consider leaving all their possessions to a wealthy football player as a noble cause, for one Brazilian fan, there was no one more deserving of his worldly goods than Neymar Jr.
This devoted fan, who wishes to remain anonymous, expressed a deep connection with Neymar beyond a shared love for the national team and Brazil's football heritage. It was this profound identification that led him to formally include the Brazilian striker's name in his last will and testament.
"I like Neymar, I identify with him a lot. I also suffer with defamation, I am also very family-oriented and the relationship with his father reminds me a lot of mine with my father, who has passed away," he said in an interview with local media outlet Metropoles.
"I am not in very good health and, because of that, I really saw that I don't have anyone to leave my things to... I wouldn't want the government or relatives I don't get along with to take my things."
Despite previous unsuccessful attempts to transfer his assets to the Brazilian football star, the 30-year-old individual has now found a legal avenue to do so. The will, which was signed at a notary's office in Porto Alegre, solidifies his intention to allocate his belongings to Neymar.

Neymar, who currently represents Paris St Germain, stands among the highest-earning athletes globally. According to Forbes, his estimated earnings for the year 2023 amount to a staggering $85 million.
"I know that, above all, he is not greedy, something a bit rare these days," the fan said.
