Callous thieves broke into a family home in West Lothian before escaping with valuables and a vehicle in a daytime raid.
Brazen thugs forced their way inside a property in Linlithgow on Sunday, November 14 while the occupants were out, stealing a number of items.
A 4x4 car was also taken during the attack on the home in the Royal Terrace area of the town.
Keys for the brand new black Vauxhall Grandland parked in the driveway, which has the registration plate SF21 ZUG, were among the items taken before the perpetrators made their getaway in the stolen vehicle.
Several neighbours are understood to have been at home on the quiet residential street near the town’s train station during the time of the raid between 4pm and 5pm.
Police have since launched a bid to trace those responsible and have asked anyone with information or who may have seen the vehicle in question to come forward immediately.
Detective Sergeant Lisa Cairney, of Livingston CID, said: “We’re appealing to anyone with information on this incident, or possible CCTV and dashcam footage, to please come forward.

“I’d also like to take this opportunity to remind residents to by extra vigilant with their home and vehicle security at all times."
