Brazen thieves steal catalytic converter from car in broad daylight in Dublin

Gardai are investigating after brazen thieves stole a catalytic converter from a car in north Dublin.

The owner of the car had parked the vehicle at The Green in Beaumont Woods when the incident happened.

Upon returning he was shocked to see his catalytic converter was missing.

Speaking on a local Facebook page, the owner warned motorists to "be on the lookout for individuals near your car".

A garda spokeswoman said: "I refer to your query and can confirm Gardaí attended the scene of an incident at The Green, Beaumont Woods, Dublin 9 on Thursday, August 12, 2021.

"The injured party parked his car and upon returning to the car the catalytic converter was stolen.

"Investigations ongoing."
