Bray Instagram page featuring compromising 'videos of 12-14 year olds' taken down following reports

Parents have warned others to be very wary of pages which are popping up on Instagram and contain non-consensual videos and photos of people as young as "12-14 years old".

It comes after an Instagram page called Bray.Meets69 was taken down following reports of compromising content being used on the page without people's consent.

One mother reported the "worrying" Instagram page after she discovered it while scrolling through the online service.

She said the page featured "videos and pictures taken without the consent of those involved.

"These videos include young people aged, I’m guessing, between 12-14ish so, we’re talking first and second years."

She added: "This is the sort of stuff that leads to bullying and possibly, life-altering incidents and feel free to have a chat with your kids to make sure they’re aware/not involved."

One person commented underneath the post saying that it had been reported to Instagram and has now been removed.

They added that apparently "some are from 6th class...[there's] videos of them in school uniforms".

Although the original page has been taken down, a second one with a very similar handle emerged shortly after.

They had material published on the page but took the content down and apologised for "getting anyone in trouble".

One mother added: "I saw this this morning but when I went looking for it to show my daughter, it was gone.

"It must have been taking down. There was another one [with] same type of stuff on it. Why in God's name do they need to video everything?

Gardai told Dublin Live: "We do not comment on material published online by third parties."
