Bray Air Display 2022: How to get there and everything you need to know

The beloved Bray Air Display makes its triumphant return in 2022, taking place in July to the delight of fans.

Like many events around the country, the Bray Air Display hasn't taken place over the past two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. 2022 sees the Bray Air Display team up with the Irish Air Corps who are celebrating 100 years of Irish military aviation.

Here is everything you need to know about the Bray Air Display 2022.

When is the Bray Air Display 2022?

Bray Air Display takes place on Sunday, July 24 with an official practice taking place the day before.

Additionally, on Saturday and Sunday, July 23 and 24, there will be ground entertainment from 12pm.

How much do tickets to the Bray Air Display cost?

The Bray Air Display is a free family event and no pre-booking is necessary. All funfair attractions, food and drink, crafts and the Helicopter Pleasure Flights are individually priced.

Although there is the new Flight Deck package for €120 per person for those looking for an extra special air show experience. This includes access to a private outdoor area, a complimentary drink on arrival, complimentary car parking within walking distance, a grandstand seat, access to a private bar and private toilets.

How to get to the Bray Air Display

Visitors are encouraged to use public transport to the Bray Air Display. The DART goes to Bray from Dublin city centre and north Dublin. Dublin Bus routes that serve Bray include the 145, 184, 45A and 84.

Parking will be extremely limited on both days. You must pre-book your space in one of the event's dedicated car parking spaces which can be done here.

What's happening for the 2022 Bray Air Display?

The Bray Air Display 2022 has an exciting line-up of events and things to see for eager spectators. It will celebrate 100 years of the Irish Air Corps with a unique formation flight of Aer Lingus and the Irish Air Corps.

There will also be the Royal Air Force’s (RAF) Battle of Britain Memorial Flight to Irish skies, the return of the Royal Jordanian Falcons aerobatic team and the world-famous Red Arrows.

"It’s going to be spectacular," said Bray Air Display director Sé Pardy.

Food and drink

There will be a Food Village at this year's Bray Air Display with a variety of vendors.

Bray is also home to a slew of fantastic restaurants including Box Burger, Joe's Chicken and many more.

Personal BBQ’s are strictly prohibited and can not be used at the Bray Air Display.

Will there be toilets at the Bray Air Display?

There are a number public toilets along the seafront with additional temporary toilet facilities being provided over the weekend of the Bray Air Display.

Can I bring my dog or other pet to the Bray Air Display?

It is not advised that you bring pets that might be sensible to noise.

Guide dogs are welcome but it is still advised that you take into consideration the roar of the jets and other loud noises that will be part of the Bray Air Display.
