A brand new Glasgow bagel shop has opened its door for the very first time, serving 'Glaswegian Bagels with attitude'.
Such was the excitement for new Partick food spot Brawsome Bagels, the Dumbarton Road-based shop sold out within just three hours of today's soft launch.
Brawsome Bagels has arrived with the goal of creating expertly crafted, handmade Glaswegian bagels, with mouth-watering fillings and flavour combinations. Described as an exciting and new bagel concept offering an irresistible selection of filled bagels, cakes and drinks, Brawsome Bagels are baked fresh in-store every day and the team say: "There really is no fresher bagel in town."
With opening day exceeding expectations, owner and founder Ian Brooke thanked local residents for their support and said: “We’ve been working hard over the past few months to bring a new concept to Partick, Brawsome Bagels, Glaswegian Bagels with attitude!
"We just can’t believe the response we had during our soft launch today.
"We worked through the night baking hundreds of bagels in our kitchen, hoping to have some locals and friends through the door.
"Having a complete sell-out within a few hours of opening is beyond our wildest dreams, we can’t thank the community enough for the support.
"We chose Partick to launch our store as there is a great sense of community, amazing local businesses and friendly neighbours all on our doorstep, and we wanted to be part of it. We still can’t quite believe it!
"We hope to be more than just a bagel shop, we want to be part of the community. We pride ourselves on paying our staff a living wage, caring for our environment, and using locally sourced, fresh quality products to create sensational flavours."
