Up to 40 children were involved in a street brawl in the middle of the afternoon.
Police arrived at the scene at about 4pm in the Chapelford area of Warrington today.
Officer said they had managed to quickly get names of some of those involved and were working to identify more.
In a statement, the policing team at Whittle Hall, part of Cheshire Police, said: "We have just come across a large fight involving 30-40 youths on Boston Boulevard near to the junction of Burtonwood Road.
"We have managed to obtain some names of some of the people involved.
"Further enquiries are currently being made in an effort to identify others.

"If you have any information in relation to the incident please call us on 101 and quote IML 937689."
The incident promoted anger from many.
One said: "Bloody idiots, scared for my own kids."
Another added: Why aren’t these kids at home?"
A third person also said: "Fines needed. 30-40 youths."
