Brawl in Zara changing room over 'excess items' with three women taken to hospital

Three woman have been hospitalised following a fight in a Zara changing room sparked by an excess of items.

On Saturday afternoon a woman walked into the fitting rooms of the store in Pontevedra in Galicia, Spain.

The 30-year-old was carrying six pieces of clothing instead of the four allowed under coronavirus restrictions.

When a saleswoman told her of the rule, the customer threw the garments into the employee's face, The Olive Press reported.

The intense reaction prompted a 55-year-old customer to intervene, who was subsequently punched in the head by the first woman.

She fell to the ground where the enraged shopper kicked her, before attacking a 61-year-old woman who tried to restore the peace.

When police arrive the attacker claimed she had been called 'an animal', which prompted her to get physical.

She was taken to hospital for treatment along with the two women she attacked.

It is not clear what the nature of their injuries are.
