Bravissimo reveal plans to relocate Nottingham city centre store

After nearly four years, new life is being breathed into a vacant city centre building.

American Apparel closed its store in Bridlesmith Gate at the end of 2016 when the fashion brand went into administration. It's departure left a large empty unit in its wake and for some neighbouring retailers marked the beginning of the shopping street's decline.

But now plans have been revealed for the former clothes shop.

Lingerie and swimwear brand Bravissimo will be relocating its Pelham Street store to Bridlesmith Gate having just signed a 10 year lease on the former American Apparel unit.

FHP Property Consultants announced the news on Instagram over the weekend.

The post said: "We are delighted to announce the relocation of Bravissimo, the leading national lingerie retailer, who are relocating their store from Pelham Street to 46 Bridlesmith Gate adjacent to Kuoni Travel and opposite Hugo Boss.

"Acting on behalf of Aberdeen Standard Investments, Bravissimo have taken a new 10 year lease on 46 Bridlesmith Gate, which comprises a total of 5,470ft² over basement, ground, first and second floors.

"This proves that even in these uncertain times, retailers are forward planning, and we are always here to make their plans a reality by supporting them in every way possible."
