A heroic woman was forced to fend off an aggressive thug after she returned home to find him inside her Dublin house.
The man smashed a door window of her Dundrum house to gain entry in the late hours of Wednesday night.
The homeowner came back at around 7:20pm and had to battle with the intruder to get him out of the house.
Once she managed to raise the alarm with Dundrum Gardai, the thug then proceeded to flee on foot.
Councillor for Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown, Michael Fleming warned others in the area about the incident and asked anyone with information to come forward to help catch the man who is now at large.

A garda spokeswoman said: "We are investigating the burglary of a domestic premises which occurred at Dundrum on 12 February 2020 at approximately 7.20pm.
"A woman returned home and observed an intruder in the house, who subsequently fled on foot. A small amount of criminal damage was caused.
"No arrests were made and investigation ongoing.
