Brave Tom Parker and wife Kelsey look loved up at Pride of Britain Awards

Brave Tom Parker was all smiles as he attended the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards.

The Wanted singer was joined by his wife Kelsey, who looked stunning in a floor length powder blue gown, complete with gem detailing on the upper half. Kelsey had her blonde hair lightly curled whilst Tom looked sharp in a suit.

Tom and Kelsey looked happy as they smiled for the cameras at the event at London's Grosvenor House.

The singer's life was turned upside down last year when he was diagnosed an inoperable stage 4 glioblastoma brain tumour, but he has vowed to continue to fight his terminal diagnosis.

Speaking to the Mirror at the awards, Tom said: "Things like this always warm the heart. These people are beyond incredible and they’ve been through so much. It puts life into perspective. Sometimes the world can be full of darkness, but days like this and people like this bring such joy."

He also told us: "Days like this put things into perspective. There's plenty of other people who've been through worse things than we've been through.

"We're here to celebrate them tonight. Live each day as if it's your last."

Sharing an update on his health, he went on: "Yeah, there are good days and bad days. But my family help keep me in a positive mindset and waking up to my children everyday brings me strength. I’m positive."

Tom had previously explained how he was desperate for his diagnosis not to consume him.

Speaking about his battle on Channel 4 ’s Stand Up To Cancer, he said: "Cancer can consume you very quickly and very easily.

Tom broke down recently as he discussed his brain tumour diagnosis (Channel 4)

"There was a time at the start of this journey where I couldn't get out of bed. I was so consumed by cancer. It wasn't the physical side of things, it was the mental side of things. I kept thinking 'I'm going to die, so what's the point in getting out of bed?'"

He was glad that he was able to see the light again thanks to his wife and their two children.

"I had to, for my kids. I had two under two and a wife. You have to pick yourself up and get on with it," he added.

"It gives you perspective. It makes things so clear. You realise the important things in life. And how the small things are what matter."

Whilst Tom isn't sure "what the future holds", he has vowed to continue fighting for the sake of his family.

"It's so hard to think about the future," he said on his Channel 4 documentary Inside My Head.

He went on: "I don't want to know. I don't think you know how you feel about death until you're faced with it. Am I going to die? That's the most important question."

Tom recently reunited with his The Wanted bandmates at his charity fundraising gig.

"It was pretty surreal. It was pretty special, the fact that we were together again for the most beautiful reason, to raise awareness," he said of their emotional reunion.
