Brave New World, a podcast hosted by The London Standard proprietor Evgeny Lebedev, has launched its fourth season today with an episode featuring entrepreneur and podcast royalty Steven Bartlett. Brave New World consists of conversations between Lebedev and some of the world’s thought-leaders, scientists and intellectuals shaping society and transforming our culture.
Past seasons’ highlights include guest appearances from legendary actor and friend of Lord Lebedev, Dame Helen Mirren, the “iceman” who taught the world the importance of cold water exposure and breathwork, Wim Hof, and global leader of alternative medicine, Deepak Chopra.
Before becoming the youngest ever investor on BBC’s Dragons’ Den at just 28 years old, Steven Bartlett enjoyed immense success through his various companies and podcast, The Diary of a CEO, which became the first British podcast to reach 1 billion plays and now occupies the No1 spot in the UK – globally, the show is only behind The Joe Rogan Experience. On the podcast, Bartlett has spoken to some of the biggest names in business and beyond, including Michelle Obama, Lewis Capaldi and Richard Branson. Bartlett’s new business venture, Steven.com, was recently valued at $425m.

The company's self described aim is to become the “Disney of the creator economy”, acting across creator IP, infrastructure and investment in the podcast and entertainment space. His two books, Happy Sexy Millionaire and The Diary of a CEO: The 33 Laws of Business & Life, became instant hits, with both spending prolonged periods on the bestsellers lists.
In the first episode of the new season, Lord Lebedev’s interview with the entrepreneur – who was named 11th in Forbes’ 2025 top 50 creators list – covers Bartlett’s formative relationship with his mother, who instilled in him a fierce work ethic that would set him on his path to success, the one bit of advice that allowed him to get over heartbreaks, why failure is seen as an asset in his company, and much more.
