Brave Lanarkshire vlogger given boost by GlasGLOW invite

Budding vlogger Cole Thomson is tripping the light fantastic after GlasGLOW shared a YouTube video of his family attending the festive attraction.

The nine-year-old East Kilbride boy started up his own YouTube channel during lockdown with the hope of breaking the Internet and becoming famous.

And, thanks to his "incredible" vlogging skills, his family have received an invite back to capture their next Christmas show Elfingrove.

Cole's proud mum Lisa posted online: "Massive thank you to GlasGLOW 2021 who after seeing Cole's latest YouTube video - or vlog - have invited him to Elfingrove to do another video.

"When I told him after school he was so excited, definitely loving the spotlight this boy!"

The East Kilbride boy is at the heart of community fundraising due to suffering a rare form of epilepsy.

Cole was diagnosed with drug resistant focal epilepsy at just three-months-old.

His family are campaigning for access to a lifesaving cannabis oil that has transformed his life on the NHS.

In their post GlasGLOW wrote: "Top GlasGLOW fan Cole came down to this year's show and made his very own YouTube video.

"We are so impressed and definitely think we might all be witnessing a nine-year-old star in the making.

"Not only is Cole an incredible vlogger, he's also fundraising for a great cause.

"Living with a rare type of epilepsy, he's helping raise awareness of the condition and much needed funds.

"Remember to give his video a watch and a huge thumbs up. Thank you Cole, and see you at Elfingrove."
