It may be Christmas but Dublin Fire Brigade have been hard at work as usual as they work to keep the city safe.
Brave firefighters fought a spectacular blaze this morning after they were called to a car on fire near a pub in Palmerstown.
Staff from the station in Tallaght arrived to the call and managed to bring the fire under control.
DFB tweeted: "Early this morning we called to smoke issuing near a pub in #Palmerstown. On arrival a car was discovered well alight. Firefighters from Tallaght fire station on scene."
Firefighters continued to have a busy day with units called to the scene of a crash on the N81.
The collision temporarily blocked parts of the Outer Ring Road while hero fire staff worked to clear the crash.
