Braun Strowman attacks Tyson Fury after WWE Crown Jewel to fuel WrestleMania 36 rumours

Tyson Fury came through his wrestling debut with flying colours - but some WWE fans think he is now on course to be one of the headline acts at WrestleMania.

The lineal world boxing heavyweight champion defeated Braun Strowman with a TKO count out victory at Crown Jewel.

Fury was paid a jackpot sum of £12million for his efforts in Saudi Arabia.

And many fans were impressed with his ring skills - not to mention his impressive entrance in Riyadh.

But they expect the 31-year-old will return to the soared circle next April in Miami to fight Strowman in a rematch after Fury’s celebrations were brutally ended by the Monster Among Men.

As Fury toasted his win, an enraged Strowman jumped in the ring and floored the boxing superstar with his trademark powerslam.

Fury eventually climbed to his feet before taking his shirt off to challenge Strowman to another round of fisticuffs - but the WWE behemoth refused and headed to the locker room.

Now some WWE fans believe it will set up another money-spinning wrestling match for Fury on the ‘Grandest Stage of them All’ on April 5.

One fan tweeted: "The cheap shot leaves room for a rematch, maybe at WrestleMania."

Another posted: "Something tells me Fury will get another gig in the WWE probably wrestle mania or something

Fury, speaking exclusively to the Express last week, hinted he will fight at the WWE’s main pay-per-view extravaganza.

“Who knows I might make a surprise appearance on WrestleMania,” he said.

“It depends because I have got my own boxing stuff going on so it depends on when it falls and if I’m free or not.”

A world heavyweight title rematch with WBC king Deontay Wilder is, of course, on the cards for Fury next February.

Wilder has disputed whether the highly-anticipated bout will take place following Fury’s foray into wrestling and his apparent desire to team up with Conor McGregor to cross over into the world of MMA.

Fury certainly has plenty of irons in the fire - and a return to WWE would not come as a surprise given his impressive performance against Strowman.
