Brandon Williams suffers sickening injury during Manchester United vs Southampton

Manchester United were forced to finish the draw against Southampton with ten men after Brandon Williams suffered a head injury late in the game.

Williams replaced Luke Shaw with 15 minutes remaining after the defender suffered an ankle injury and was unable to continue.

Just minutes later, it was Williams who required treatment after a nasty collision with on-loan Southampton defender Kyle Walker-Peters that left both players on the floor.

Blood was seen gushing from the United defender's forehead and the youngster departed the field for further treatment after getting to his feet.

United were forced to play the remainder of the game a man down and conceded a late equaliser to damage their hopes of finishing in the top four of the Premier League.

United are back in action on Thursday against Crystal Palace and injuries to both Shaw and Williams could provide a headache to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Diogo Dalot would be in contention to feature while youngster Ethan Laird could also be handed a senior debut.
