It's been a rapid rise for Brandon Williams at Manchester United and the defender has revealed how Ashley Young pranked him upon his emergence into the first team.
After impressing in the youth ranks and captaining the Under-23 side, Williams made his United debut in the Carabao Cup victory over Rochdale in September.
Since then the 19-year-old has gone on to make a further 25 appearances for the first team as he took advantage of Luke Shaw's injury and proved himself to be more than capable in the Premier League.
Williams' emergence also contributed to United's decision to sell Young in January and he explained how the then club captain initiated him into the first-team set-up earlier in the season.
"I went into the season just trying to play in the under-23s consistently. I didn’t think I was going to play 20 games already for the first-team," Williams told the BBC.
"There was a prank done on me by Ashley Young. It was the first time I was allowed to park in the first-team car park.
"Ashley got one of the kit men to take my car and parked it in the manager’s spot. I ran in quickly, got my keys, move it. I think I got away with it."
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has shown great faith in Williams and other young players and the left-back said he loves playing under the Norwegian.
"It's a great opportunity to learn from a player who was a very top player," Williams added.
"He can feed his success, his memories, and what he knows about the club to us players to try and get us winning titles."
