If only to make matters worse in the first half, Washington’s starting right guard and star offensive lineman Brandon Scherff went down with an apparent right knee injury late in the first half after getting rolled up on in a pass-blocking situation.
Scherff immediately went down and was in some serious pain on the field as trainers came to look at him.
Eventually, Scherff was able to walk off the field under his own power, but he was favoring his good leg, and went to the medical tent to be checked out.
Scherff was later helped to the locker room before the half.
We will keep you updated on his injury as soon as we get more information.
