The Associated Press announced their first-team All-Pro list on Friday morning, and Washington veteran right guard Brandon Scherff made the list, being the only player in Washington to do so.
According to The Washington Post’s Nicki Jhabvala, Scherff is the first player to be named first-team in Washington since 1996, when punter Matt Turk did so.
This honor caps off a big year for Scherff, where he was also named to the 2020 NFL Pro Bowl, and given the team’s Ed Block Courage Award as well. Scherff is currently playing on the franchise tag, but coach Ron Rivera has expressed a desire to re-sign him this season, and it seems like that will absolutely happen this offseason.
