Brandon Ingram (shoulder) out Monday night matchup with Clippers

Brandon Ingram has been shouldering quite the load for the Los Angeles Lakers as of late, so perhaps it shouldn’t be a shock that it’s wearing on him a little bit.

According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, Luke Walton told reporters that Ingram was questionable to play in Monday night’s crucial game against the Los Angeles Clippers due to discomfort in his right shoulder. The Lakers later said that Ingram would miss the game.

Ingram has been very good since late December, but has been even better for the Lakers lately. Over the last 15 games, Ingram is averaging 23 points, nearly six rebounds and three assists per game while shooting over 56% from the field and 38% from 3. Over that same span, the Lakers have been nearly 15 points per 100 possessions better when Ingram is on the court (-4.7 net rating to -19.6), according to NBA.com.
