Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart seem happy to leave the Lakers

Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart found out they were leaving the Los Angeles Lakers, the only team either player had ever played for. And they were all smiles.

On Saturday, Ingram and Hart shared their reaction on Instagram to the Anthony Davis trade, which brought “The Brow” to L.A. and sent the two young players to the New Orleans Pelicans along with Lonzo Ball and three first-round draft picks. Ingram shared a smiling emoji on his Instagram story. Hart, meanwhile, took a selfie of himself smiling. Davis and Ball have yet to share a reaction to the trade.

Ball’s father LaVar was quick to say that the trade would be the worst the Lakers had ever made. LeBron James was also swift to react on Instagram by welcoming Davis to the Lakers.

Ingram, Hart and Ball — all former first-round picks — will join the Pelicans, who will have the first- and fourth-overall picks in the 2019 NBA Draft. New Orleans may be devoid of proven NBA talent, but they’re stocked with young, developmental players and a future picks.
