Brandon Allen received game ball after Broncos’ win over Browns

Making his first regular season appearance in the NFL on Sunday, quarterback Brandon Allen helped lead the Broncos to a 24-19 win over the Browns in Week 9. After the game, coach Vic Fangio presented Allen with a game ball.

Here’s video of the moment, courtesy of the team’s official YouTube page:

“I appreciate you guys,” Allen told his teammates. “Joe [Flacco], I appreciate you, man. I appreciate everything you’ve done for this team so far. Let’s get a few more [wins], guys.”

Allen completed12-of-20 passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Perhaps most importantly, the first-time starter had no turnovers.

Denver will have a bye this week before an away game against the Vikings in Week 11. After that, the Broncos will face the Bills on the road in Week 12.

Second-round draft choice Drew Lock will return to practice next week but it wouldn’t be surprising to see Allen start the next two games while Lock gets up to speed. Lock hasn’t practiced since August.
