Brandi Glanville says she’s ‘learnt her lesson’ after deleting controversial Armie Hammer tweet

Brandi Glanville has apologised for “joking” that she wanted Armie Hammer to “have her rib cage”.

Hammer is currently at the centre of a social media scandal, after private messages allegedly written by the actor leaked online. The messages apparently contained reference to graphic sexual fantasies, including a cannibalism fetish.

On Monday (8 February), former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Glanville alluded to the controversy, tweeting (via Page Six): “@armiehammer you can have my rib cage [heart emoji] how do you just keep getting hotter and hotter #letsbbq.”

After the tweet received negative backlash, Glanville responded: “I’m not sorry I don’t take it back it was a f***ing joke clearly I need my rib cage but maybe he can have one my kidneys [sic].”

However, the tweets were later deleted, with the reality TV star claiming that she didn’t know the extent of the allegations against Hammer and “kind of felt bad”.

“Guys I DID NOT KNOW the extent of whats being alleged against AH,” she posted. “I just read he was getting divorced and thought he was hot. No more headline porn for me! I have learned my lesson [sic].”

However, her followers were unconvinced, with one Twitter user responding: “You referenced your rib. Honey. You knew. It’s okay to make a bad joke but at least own it.”

“You literally referred to your ribs; you very obviously knew, so if you’re gonna lie at least make it believable,” another commented wrote.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Hammer had been dropped by his talent agency and personal publicist in the wake of the allegations.

In January, the actor dropped out of his latest project, Shotgun Wedding, and called the allegations “bulls*** claims”.
