Brand new Scottish music exhibition, bar and performance space opens in Edinburgh's Waverley Mall

Scotland's musicians have had a massive impact across the world of popular music for decades and now a brand new exhibition and bar in Edinburgh's Waverley Mall is set to celebrate the history of our country's music scene.

For just a fiver, Shout! The Scottish Music Experience will be take you through the history of Scottish music from the 50s to the present day with photos, memorabilia and listening posts.

From ‘Shout! inspiration’ Lulu and ‘The King of Skiffle’ Lonnie Donnegan to 'The Scottish Beyonce' Lewis Capaldi and Young Fathers who won the 2014 Mercury Prize, expect an in-depth exploration of all things Scottish music.

From the then and now they will also take you to the next with future stars such as Vistas, Callum Beattie and Bow Anderson.

The team are working hard behind the scenes to curate live music, Q&A’s, live podcast recordings, book launches and events for all the family to celebrate to Scotland's ongoing rich musical history.

Although live events have stopped in light of the global pandemic for now, Shout! will host a wide range of events when they can.

We can't wait to visit for a gig showcasing the very best of Scottish talent as soon as Shout! are able to host one in their dedicated performance space.

The exhibition is currently open seven days a week from 10am-5pm Mon-Sat and 11am-5pm on Sundays but these hours will be extended as and when the restrictions are lifted.
