Brand-new Ninja Warrior adventure park coming to Leith with inflatables and 'Warped Wall'

A brand-new adventure park set up by Ninja Warrior contestant Ali Hay is heading to Edinburgh, reports the Edinburgh Evening News.

The obstacle course will be opening its doors in the former General George Carpet warehouse in Leith at the beginning of August - if lockdown easing allows - and will feature ninja courses that mirror those in the popular TV show, meaning people can try their hand at the Warped Wall and Chimney Climb.

There will also be inflatable courses and participants will be able to complete the courses at their own pace and in the order that they choose.

It will be open to all the family, offering parties and event packages. Other Ninja Warrior adventure parks around the UK have a 'mini ninjas' option for under-fives, a café and dining area, and a section for adults to take on the assault course.

The general manager of Gloucester's centre told our sister site Gloucestershire Live:

"We're doing special sessions for toddlers, our open sessions for four plus children - so whole families can come in and enjoy themselves together, and later on we will be introducing additional sessions for adults fitness, special educational needs sessions and time trials.

Ms White went on to say that the centre has everything from the show, minus the water.

She said: "If customers want more competitive opportunities then we'll make more competitive opportunities."

Ninja Warrior UK has been broadcast on ITV since 2015, spanning a total of five series so far, and is based on the Japanese game show Sasuke.

It is presented by Ben Shephard, Chris Kamara and Rochelle Humes.

Former contestant Ali told Edinburgh Evening News: “I’ve been so looking forward to bringing it to Edinburgh a lot of work has gone into it. We got the keys at the beginning of March and were working on it as a team of eight, but then lockdown happened.

“Inside it looks like the show, it feels like the show, it’s supposed to give people that sense of excitement. I’ll be there a lot of the time to be able to encourage people along as they try out the Ninja courses."
