Bramble Shawlands: New brunch cafe to open on Pollokshaws Road next week

Glasgow's southsiders are preparing to welcome a new addition to the area's burgeoning brunch scene with the arrival of Bramble.

The cafe will throw open its doors next week after relocating from Giffnock, where the food spot was a huge hit with locals.

Work has been ongoing on the Pollokshaws Road space, located opposite Queen's Park, for a number of weeks now and owners confirmed on Instagram they will open in the coming days, commenting: "We can't wait to see familiar and new faces so soon".

Bramble replaces the former Cosgrove Care Shop on the junction of Pollokshaws Road and Springhill Gardens, after a successful planning application which was submitted to Glasgow City Council in November last year.

A menu for the cafe has yet to be revealed, however, if it's to follow in the footsteps of the previous Bramble cafe on Giffnock's Fenwick Road, foodies can expect the likes of delicious brioche rolls and toasted sandwiches, excellent egg dishes and a whole of exciting brunch mains including Nasi Goreng, chimichurri and chicken waffles.

For updates on the opening date, and for pictures of the beautiful new space, you can visit Bramble on Instagram here.
