Brainiac Live! coming to Bristol as part of Filton Airfield drive-in events

An action-packed show featuring explosions, experiments and daredevil stunts is taking place in Bristol this summer.

With a combination of science and entertainment set to make every kid's jaw drop to the floor, Brainiac Live! will stop off at Filton Airfield on August 4 on its UK tour, forming part of Live From The Drive-In.

Based on the popular TV series, the live show is a fun and fact-filled exploration of the weird, wild and wonderful world of science, which educates and entertains through a series of high octane experiments.

Since 2008 it has played to packed houses across the UK, blowing the minds of countless children and their families with its mash-up of science and entertainment.

Ticket-holders to the Bristol show can expect to see exploding dustbins, supercharged spinning chairs and much more.

Show producer Andy Joyce said: "It’s fantastic to be able to get back to doing what we love best this summer and entertaining families with our much-loved show.

"There are only 300 spaces in each city so grab your deckchair, pack your picnic, find the car keys and join us for some live theatre!"

Live From The Drive-In will run for six weeks from the end of July, with up to 20 different shows a week offering family entertainment, live music, theatre and cinema.

The event aims to reopen the live entertainment market while adhering to strict social distancing guidelines, allowing fans to return to live events and keep safe from Covid-19.

The capacity of each event will be capped at around 280 cars with adequate spacing in between.

There will be socially distant audience facilities to keep all event-goers as safe as possible while allowing them to enjoy the atmosphere of a live event.
