Brahim Diaz to Real Madrid: Pep Guardiola says ‘conversations’ continue with Man City set to lose teen star

Pep Guardiola says he has no new information regarding Brahim Diaz’s expected move to Real Madrid, but admits that conversations are ongoing.

Diaz has been restricted to just a few appearances in the EFL Cup this season, plus one in the Community Shield, and is out of contract in the summer.

As reported by Standard Sport on Friday, Real Madrid are closing in on a cut-price deal for the 19-year-old midfielder , with the Liga side prepared to pay up to €15million (£13.5m)

Guardiola, who admitted earlier in the month that Man City wanted Diaz to commit to a new deal for ‘four or five years’, said that he had no new information regarding negotiations.

"I don't have any new information," Guardiola said. "I know they are in conversations but I don't have new info on what the situation is. Today he trained with us. I spoke in the past what is my opinion."
