Braga boss shares Rangers pitch fear as Europa League opponents stun Benfica in Lisbon

Braga coach Ruben Amorim admitted he was worried about the state of Rangers' pitch - moments after his side recorded a stunning win over Benfica.

Today's game with Livingston at Ibrox was called off after a pitch inspection, with the game to go ahead tomorrow.

On Thursday Steven Gerrard's side return to Europa League action, and Amorim admitted the state of the pitch is a concern.

The Braga boss said: "It's too early to talk about Rangers but I know what happened to Porto.

"I take things one game at a time but we know Rangers are a top team.

"I know the pitch isn't in good condition because of a storm but we'll have to adapt to that."

Braga are unbeaten since Amorim took over, and recorded a famous win in Lisbon tonight.

They hadn't beaten Benfica on their own patch for 65 years, but Joao Palhinha's header ensured they warmed up for Ibrox in the best possible style.
