Brady, Rodgers, Mickelson, DeChambeau in 2021 The Match

Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady will meet in 2021 … and not on the football field.

The elite quarterbacks will face off against each other in this year’s edition of “The Match.”

The partners in the made-for-TV event are Phil Mickelson, fresh off his historic PGA Championship, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ G.O.A.T. Brady against Rodgers and powerhouse Bryson DeChambeau.

Last May, “The Match” had Mickelson and Brady losing to Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning. In November, Mickelson teamed with Charles Barkley to beat Stephen Curry and Peyton Manning.

The event takes place July 6 in Montana.

Per Sports Business Journal’s John Ourand:

Proceeds will be donated to Feeding America, among other charities.

… As in previous versions of “The Match,” all the players will have open mics during the competition and will interact with each other, as well as Turner Sports’ announcers.

Rodgers and Brady have met four times on the football field, most recently in the playoffs when the Buccaneers defeated the Packers to reach the Super Bowl. Brady is 3-1 in those games.

They are not scheduled to face each other in the 2021 NFL season but that could change should Rodgers be traded by Green Bay.
